LEARN

Matchday Learn is recommended to student athletes in grades 10 to 12. The weekly, online format allows students to attend remotely from any sport that is offered for in post secondary institutions.

The 12 week course is a unique, holistic educational program designed to prepare you for the rigours and demands of university athletics. Enter your rookie season primed for success and CONTROL YOUR GAME. Experts in the field of health and sport development will provide engaging workshops within the various learning blocks.
Check out the course syllabus topics below. Each block consists of 8 classes (approx. 1 to 2 hours long). Students are encouraged to attend live but will also receive access to the recording. Whilst the content is not intended to overload students, there will be project and group work to ensure optimal learning is taking place. 

BLOCK 1
Physical Performance

  • Understanding physical loading, recovery and preparation.

  • How to prevent common injuries and maximize performance.​

BLOCK 3
Student Performance

  • Time management, study tips and university life. 

  • Recruitment, scholarships and the college application process.

BLOCK 2
Mental Performance

  • Embracing the pressure to perform and uncover tools for athletic success.

  • Coaching & leading styles and team dynamics.

BLOCK 4
Wellness Performance

  • Nutrition, meal planning and hydration

  • Mental health awareness, dealing with injury and adversity.
